ChronoSync: Revolutionizing Event Management

About Project:
The requirement was to design a desktop app of an Events Calendar that allows managers to track, schedule, and set reminders for all their personal and professional events.

Business Goal:
Create a calendar planning app that can be processed at a glance. The manager will be able to create events in different time zones without schedule conflicts.

My Role:
Owned the entirety of the project as the main Product Designer, while working with a PM and a team of engineers.

Timeline:
We had four weeks to complete this task. This included user research, design ideation, wireframing, low-fidelity mockups, testing, and finally high-fidelity testing.

Design Challenge:
The design challenge was a calendar flow and interface that is smart enough to suggest event times, accounts for changing time zones, and proactively works for the user to make sure they are always on time for their events. With a full schedule and always on the go, the manager finds it difficult to manage and create new events on the calendar.
After taking 3 interviews key takeaways were:
- It had to be familiar to the user without a steep learning curve.
- The user is always on the go and has a very heavy schedule.
- She is a very driven individual with a strong work ethic.
- Wants to spend more time doing and less time thinking.
- A couple of the key frustrations she experiences are:
- Not having enough information on events.
- Time changes and keeping up with events.
- Creating events that do not conflict with others in a different time zone.
Creating a user Journey map was helpful to find out key way to visualize how the user would navigate through the application. It also helps to list out all of the features
